IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL GREYHOUND RACING PARTICIPANTS EXTENSION OF LICENCE PERIOD FOR ATTENDANTS, OWNER/TRAINERS, TRAINERS AND LURE DRIVERS The Greyhound and Harness Racing Regulatory Authority (GHRRA), in association with Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW), has agreed to extend the licence renewal period for Registered Participants for the current season, until 30 September 2009. The decision to extend the licence period this year was made to ensure continuity of business processes over the coming months, during the important demerger process of the GHRRA and the subsequent transition of regulatory duties to GRNSW. Both bodies are mindful of the need to cause as little disruption as possible to Industry Participants, during this changeover period. Existing Licensees: The extension to 30 September 2009 applies only to those licensees who are currently registered. New Licensees: Any person wishing to obtain a licence for the first time, or anyone wishing to return to the Industry after a period of absence, may make application on the normal commencement date of 1 July 2009, and receive the 24 months registration. Other Registrations: The renewal of other registrations such as Bookmakers and Bookmakers Clerks will not be affected by this extension and will still be renewed on 1 July 2009.
